Throttle Body: Installation

2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser RWDSECTION Installation
  1. INSTALL THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose to the throttle body.

    3. Connect the No. 5 water by-passe hose to the throttle body.
    4. Install a new gasket and the throttle with motor body with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 11 N*m (112 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)

    5. Connect the throttle motor connector.
    6. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose.

    8. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose.
  2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the air cleaner onto the throttle body.
    2. Connect the air cleaner hose to the air cleaner.
    3. Install the air cleaner with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)

    4. Connect the mass air flow meter connector.
    5. Engage the 2 wire harness clamps.

    7. Connect the vacuum hose.
    8. Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose.

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Torque: 3.9 N*m (40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf) 

  4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  (See REPLACEMENT )
  5. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK  (See REPLACEMENT )
  6. INSTALL V-BANK COVER 
    1. Install the V-bank cover with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 7.5 N*m (76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf)
