VSC OFF SWITCH (w/ VSC): Inspection

2009 Toyota Corolla S, 1.8 U, StandardSECTION Inspection
  1. INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      3-6 Released 10 kΩ or higher
      3-6 Pushed in Below 25 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

    2. Check illumination operation.

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      4-5 Battery positive (+) lead connected to terminal 5 and negative (-) lead to terminal 4 LED Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the VSC off switch.
