2009 Toyota Camry HybridSECTION Inspection Procedure

HINT:

  • DTC P2610 is set if an internal ECM (included in the hybrid vehicle control ECU) problem is detected. Diagnostic procedures are not required. ECM replacement is required.
  • Read freeze frame data using Techstream. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air-fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data, from the time the malfunction occurred.
  1. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU 
  2. CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS 
    1. Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Clear the DTCs (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
    4. Put the engine in inspection mode (See INSPECTION MODE PROCEDURE ).
    5. Wait for 10 minutes or more.
    6. On the tester, enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Code / Pending.
    7. If no pending DTC is displayed, the repair has been successfully completed.
