Fuel Pump Relay: Inspection

2009 Toyota 4Runner Limited, 4.0 U, RWDSECTION Inspection
  1. INSPECT FUEL PUMP RELAY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the resistance.
      1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

        Resistance 

        RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION TABLE

        Tester Connection Specified Condition
        3 - 4 Below 1 Ω
        3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher
        3 - 4 10 kΩ or higher (Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 2)
        3 - 5 Below 1 Ω (Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 2)

        If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel pump relay.
