Map Light Assembly: Inspection

  1. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the resistance.
      1. Measure the resistance using an ohmmeter, and check the results in accordance with the value(s) in MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY .

        Standard 

        MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1-2 OFF 10 k or higher
        1-2 ON Below 1

        If the result is not as specified, replace the map light assembly.

    2. Check the light operation.
      1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 1 and the battery positive (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the light comes on.

        Standard: Light comes on. 

        If the light does not come on, replace the bulb.
