Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Removal
2008 Toyota RAV4 Limited, 2.4 D, FWDSECTION Removal
- DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See REPLACEMENT )
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
- Disconnect the sensor connector.
- Using SST, remove the sensor and gasket. SST 09817-33190
