Steering Angle Sensor: Installation

- INSTALL STEERING ANGLE SENSORÂ
- Align the locating pins, attach the 6 claws and install the sensor to the spiral cable.
- INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLYÂ (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVERÂ (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLYÂ (See INSTALLATION )
- INSTALL STEERING PAD ASSEMBLYÂ (See INSTALLATION )
- INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINTÂ
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINALÂ NOTE: When reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal after installing the steering angle sensor, check that the front tires and steering wheel are kept aligned straight ahead before and after connecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- INSPECT STEERING PAD ASSEMBLYÂ (See DISPOSAL )
- CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHTÂ
- Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
