DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE: When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration Programming and Relearning.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
(a) Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output.
Result:
B -- INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A -- Continue to next step.
2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SLIP INDICATOR LIGHT)
(a) Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Start the engine.
(c) Select the Active Test mode on Techstream Data List / Active Test.
ABS / VSC / TRAC:
(d) Check that the slip indicator light on the combination meter turns on or off in accordance with Techstream operation.
OK:
The slip indicator light turns on or off in accordance with Techstream operation.
HINT: If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part Problem Symptoms Table.
NG -- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
OK -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Turn the ignition switch off.
(b) Perform the Active Test of the combination meter (meter CPU) using Techstream Meter / Gauge System.
(c) Check the combination meter.
OK:
The slip indicator light turns on or off in accordance with Techstream operation.
HINT: If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step Problem Symptoms Table.
