Inspection Procedure
2008 Toyota Camry XLE, 2.4 ESECTION Inspection Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT OPEN SWITCH)
- Disconnect the E58 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection (Symbols) Condition Specified Condition E58-7 (TSW5) - Body ground Luggage compartment open switch not pushed 10 Ω or higher Luggage compartment open switch pushed Below 1 Ω
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG: Go to next step
- INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT OPEN SWITCH
- Disconnect the switch connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition S9-1 - S9-2 Luggage compartment open switch not pushed (OFF) 10 Ω or higher Luggage compartment open switch pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω
NG: REPLACE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT OPEN SWITCH
