CYLINDER HEAD

Using a 10 mm bi-hexagon wrench, uniformly tighten the 10 bolts in sequence.
Torque 79 Nm (806 kgf-cm, 58 ft. lbs.)
Mark the front side of the cylinder head bolt with paint.
Retighten the cylinder head bolts 90° in sequence.
INTAKE MANIFOLD
Uniformly tighten the bolts in several passes.
Torque 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.)
CAMSHAFT

Uniformly tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque: Bearing cap No. 1 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.)
Torque: Bearing cap No. 3 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.)
NO.2 CAMSHAFT

Uniformly tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque: Bearing cap No. 2 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.)
Torque: Bearing cap No. 3 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.)
MAIN BEARING CAP

Install and uniformly tighten 10 main bearing cap bolts in several passes, in the sequence shown.
Torque: 40 Nm (408 kgf-cm, 30 ft. lbs.)

Mark the front side of the bearing cap bolts with paint.
Retighten the bearing cap bolts 90° in the sequence shown.
CONNECTING ROD CAP
Using a 12 mm socket wrench, uniformly tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft. lbs.)

Retighten the cap bolts as shown in the illustration 90°
CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
Torque 180 Nm (1,835 kgf-cm, 133 ft. lbs.)
DRIVE PLATE

Install the front spacer, drive plate and rear spacer with the 8 bolts. Uniformly tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque 98 Nm (1,000 kgf-cm, 72 ft. lbs.)
OIL PUMP
Torque 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.)
WATER PUMP

Install the water pump and bracket with the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.)
EXHAUST MANIFOLD

Install a new gasket and the exhaust manifold convert with the 5 nuts. Uniformly tighten the nuts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque 37 Nm (337 kgf-cm, 27 ft. lbs.)

Install the No. 1 and No. 2 exhaust manifold stays with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque 44 Nm (449 kgf-cm, 32 ft. lbs.)
Using a 10 mm bi-hexagon wrench, uniformly tighten the 10 bolts in sequence.
Torque 79 Nm (806 kgf-cm, 58 ft. lbs.)
Mark the front side of the cylinder head bolt with paint.
Retighten the cylinder head bolts 90° in sequence.
INTAKE MANIFOLD
Uniformly tighten the bolts in several passes.
Torque 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.)
CAMSHAFT
Uniformly tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque: Bearing cap No. 1 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.)
Torque: Bearing cap No. 3 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.)
NO.2 CAMSHAFT
Uniformly tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque: Bearing cap No. 2 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft. lbs.)
Torque: Bearing cap No. 3 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.)
MAIN BEARING CAP
Install and uniformly tighten 10 main bearing cap bolts in several passes, in the sequence shown.
Torque: 40 Nm (408 kgf-cm, 30 ft. lbs.)
Mark the front side of the bearing cap bolts with paint.
Retighten the bearing cap bolts 90° in the sequence shown.
CONNECTING ROD CAP
Using a 12 mm socket wrench, uniformly tighten the 2 bolts.
Torque 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18 ft. lbs.)
Retighten the cap bolts as shown in the illustration 90°
CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
Torque 180 Nm (1,835 kgf-cm, 133 ft. lbs.)
DRIVE PLATE
Install the front spacer, drive plate and rear spacer with the 8 bolts. Uniformly tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque 98 Nm (1,000 kgf-cm, 72 ft. lbs.)
OIL PUMP
Torque 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.)
WATER PUMP
Install the water pump and bracket with the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.)
EXHAUST MANIFOLD
Install a new gasket and the exhaust manifold convert with the 5 nuts. Uniformly tighten the nuts in the sequence shown in the illustration.
Torque 37 Nm (337 kgf-cm, 27 ft. lbs.)
Install the No. 1 and No. 2 exhaust manifold stays with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque 44 Nm (449 kgf-cm, 32 ft. lbs.)
