ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
CHECK CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) ASSEMBLY
a. Connect the intelligent tester or OBD II scan tool to the DLC3.
b. Turn the ignition switch ON.
c. Start the engine and warm it up.
d. Select the VVT from the ACTIVE TEST menu.
e. Check the engine speed when the OCV is operated by the intelligent tester or OBD II scan tool.
If the result is not as specified, replace the OCV assembly.
CHECK CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) ASSEMBLY
a. Connect the intelligent tester or OBD II scan tool to the DLC3.
b. Turn the ignition switch ON.
c. Start the engine and warm it up.
d. Select the VVT from the ACTIVE TEST menu.
e. Check the engine speed when the OCV is operated by the intelligent tester or OBD II scan tool.
If the result is not as specified, replace the OCV assembly.
