ECM (1GR-FE): Replacement

2006 Toyota 4Runner SR5, 4.7 T, AWDSECTION Replacement
  1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY NO.2 
  2. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUB-ASSY 
  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER NO.2 
  4. REMOVE ECM 
    1. Disconnect the 5 the ECM connectors from the ECM.
    2. Remove the 3 nuts and the ECM.
    3. Remove the 2 screws and the ECM bracket No. 1 from the ECM.
    4. Remove the 2 screws and the ECM bracket No. 2 from the ECM.

  5. INSTALL ECM 
    1. Install the ECM bracket No. 2 with the 2 screws to the ECM.
    2. Install the ECM bracket No. 1 with the 2 screws to the ECM.
    3. Install the ECM with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 13 N.m (133 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf) 

    4. Connect the 5 ECM connectors to the ECM.
