Deceleration Sensor: Replacement
2005 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Replacement
- REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (See OVERHAUL )
- REMOVE YAWRATE SENSOR BRACKET
- Remove the bolt and upper side deceleration sensor bracket.
- REMOVE DECELERATION SENSOR
- Disconnect the deceleration sensor connector from the deceleration sensor, then remove the 2 bolts and deceleration sensor with the anchor side deceleration sensor bracket.
- INSTALL DECELERATION SENSOR
- Install the 2 bolts and deceleration sensor to the body, then connect the deceleration sensor connector to the deceleration sensor.
Torque: 21 N.m (214 ft.lbf, 15 ft.lbf)
NOTE:- Do not use the dropped or damage sensor.
- Free from the foreign matters or floor carpet between the deceleration sensor bracket and body.
- Install the 2 bolts and deceleration sensor to the body, then connect the deceleration sensor connector to the deceleration sensor.
