Charging System: Generator: Removal

2005 Toyota Celica GT-S, StandardSECTION Removal
  1. REMOVE DRIVE BELT 
    1. Turn the drive belt tensioner clockwise to relieve tension on the belt, and then remove the belt.
    2. Carefully return the tensioner to the unloaded position.

  2. REMOVE GENERATOR 
    1. Disconnect the wire clamp from the wire clip on the rectifier end frame.
    2. Remove the rubber cap and nut, and disconnect the generator wire.
    3. Disconnect the generator connector.

    4. 2ZZ-GE:

      Remove the 2 bolts and generator bracket.

    5. Remove the 2 bolts and generator.
