Quarter Window ASSY RR LH: Replacement

2005 Toyota 4Runner SR5, 4.7 T, AWDSECTION Replacement

HINT:

  • The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
  • Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  • A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see WINDSHIELD/WINDOWGLASS/MIRROR - SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS ).

  1. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY LH (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  2. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSY LH (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  3. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSY INNER LH (See  REPLACEMENT  ) 
    1. Remove the deck board.
    2. Remove the deck board assy.
    3. Remove the rear floor mat support plate.
    4. Remove the back door weatherstrip.
    5. Remove the rear door scuff plate LH.
    6. Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.
    7. Remove the luggage hold belt striker assy.
    8. Remove deck trim cover rear.
    9. Remove the deck floor box LH.
    10. Remove deck trim side panel assy LH.
    11. Remove the quarter trim cover RH.
    12. Remove the tonneau cover hook B.
    13. Remove the roof side garnish assy inner LH.
  4. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW ASSY RR LH 
    1. Disconnect the connectors.
    2. Pass a piano wire through between the body and glass from the interior.

    3. Tie both wire ends to wooden blocks or similar objects.

      HINT:

      Apply protective tape to the outer surface to prevent the surface from being scratched.
