Upper Control Arm ASSY (4WD): Replacement

HINT:

COMPONENTS: See COMPONENTS 

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 
2. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE ASSY (See  EXHAUST  ) 
3. REMOVE PROPELLER W/CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
4. SEPARATE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSY LH (See  DRIVE SHAFT, PROPELLER SHAFT, AXLE  ) 
5. SEPARATE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSY RH 

   HINT:

   Separate the RH side by the same procedure as the LH side.

6. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT LH NUT (See  DRIVE SHAFT, PROPELLER SHAFT, AXLE  ) 

   SST 09930-00010

7. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT RH NUT 

   SST 09930-00010

   HINT:

   Remove the RH side by the same procedure as the LH side.

8. REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSY 
9. DISCONNECT SPEED SENSOR REAR LH (W/ ABS) 
   1. Remove the 2 bolts and nut, disconnect the speed sensor rear LH from the upper control arm assy.

10. DISCONNECT SPEED SENSOR REAR RH (W/ ABS) 

    HINT:

    Disconnect the RH side by the same procedure as the LH side.

11. REMOVE FRONT BRAKE SHOE (See  ABS WITH EBD SYSTEM - DIAGNOSTICS  )

    HINT:

    Use the same manner described above to the other side.

12. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE STRUT SET LH (See  PARKING BRAKE  ) 

    SST 09703-30010

13. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE STRUT SET RH 

    SST 09703-30010

    HINT:

    Remove the RH side by the same procedure as the LH side.

14. REMOVE REAR BRAKE SHOE (See  DISC & DRUM  ) 

    SST 09718-00010

    HINT:

    Use the same manner described above to the other side.

15. DISCONNECT PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.3 (See  REPLACEMENT   ) 
16. DISCONNECT PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.2 

    HINT:

    Disconnect the RH side by the same procedure as the LH side.

17. DISCONNECT REAR BRAKE TUBE NO.4 (See  DRIVE SHAFT, PROPELLER SHAFT, AXLE  ) 

    SST 09023-00101

18. DISCONNECT REAR BRAKE TUBE NO.3 

    SST 09023-00101

    HINT:

    Disconnect the RH side by the same procedure as the LH side.

19. SEPARATE REAR SUSPENSION ARM ASSY NO.1 LH (See  DRIVE SHAFT, PROPELLER SHAFT, AXLE  ) 
20. SEPARATE REAR SUSPENSION ARM ASSY NO.1 RH 

    HINT:

    Separate the RH side by the same procedure as the LH side.

21. SEPARATE UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSY 
    1. Remove the bolt and nut, separate the upper control arm assy.
    NOTE: When removing the bolt, stop the nut from rotating and loosen the bolt.
