Rear Wheel Alignment (Ff): Inspection

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection
  1. INSPECT TIRE (See  INSPECTION  ) 
  2. MEASURE VEHICLE HEIGHT (See  ADJUSTMENT  ) 
    NOTE: Before inspecting the wheel alignment, adjust the vehicle height to the specified value.
  3. INSPECT TOE-IN 

    Toe-in: 

    TOE-IN VALUE (USA, CANADA)

    Toe-in (total) A + B: 0° 16' +/- 16' (0.26° +/- 0.26°) C - D: 2.8 +/- 2.7 mm (0.11 +/- 0.11 in.)
    TOE-IN VALUE (MEXICO)

    Toe-in (total) A + B: 0° 13' +/- 16' (0.22° +/- 0.26°) C - D: 2.2 +/- 2.7 mm (0.09 +/- 0.11 in.)

    If the toe-in is not within the specified value, inspect and replace the suspension parts as necessary.

  4. INSPECT CAMBER 
    1. Install the camber-caster-kingpin gauge or position vehicle on wheel alignment tester.
    2. Inspect the camber.
      CAMBER VALUE REFERENCE

        USA, Canada Mexico
      Camber -1°27' +/- 30' (-1.45° +/- 0.5°) -1°26' +/- 30' (-1.43° +/- 0.5°)
      Right-left error 30'(0.5°) or less 30'(0.5°) or less

      If the measured value is not within the specified value, inspect the suspension parts for damage and/or wear and replace them if necessary because camber is not adjustable.
