Inspection Procedure

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the transmission control switch connector of shift lever assy.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION .

      Standard: 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      4 - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    1. OK: Go to next step. 
    2. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (See  ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ) 
  2. INSPECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 2.

      Standard:
