Outer Rear View Mirror: Replacement
2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Replacement

HINT:
In the RH side, work in the same procedure as in the LH side.
- REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY OVERHAUL
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH OVERHAUL )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH OVERHAUL )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSY LH OVERHAUL
- REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSY LH (Without Memory)
- Disconnect the wire harness of terminals 4 and 5 from the connector.
- Using a screwdriver to hold the connector lance up, pull out the wire harness terminal.
- Tape the outer mirror body with protection tape.
- Using a roof moulding remover, disengage the clips placed in the lower part of mirror.
- Pull out the outer rear view mirror LH.
- Disconnect the wire harness of terminals 4 and 5 from the connector.
- REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSY LH (With Memory)
- Disconnect the wire harness of terminals 3 and 9 from the connector.
- Using a screwdriver to hold the connector lance up, pull out the wire harness terminal.
- Tape the outer mirror body with protection tape.
- Using a roof-moulding remover, disengage the clips placed in the lower part of mirror.
- Pull out the outer rear view mirror LH.
- Disconnect the wire harness of terminals 3 and 9 from the connector.
- INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSYLH
- Insert the claws placed in the upper part of the backside of the mirror into the actuator hole.
- Set the mirror in the actuator.
- Insert the lower portion of mirror to engage the 2 clips securely.
- Connect the wire harness terminal to the connector.
