Second Row Seat Back Cushion/Cover: Installation

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Installation

  1. Place seat back cover onto cushion.
  2. Install seat back cover and cushion to seat back frame.
  3. Engage J-straps (Figure ).
  4. Install two bolts attaching inner seat back to hinge.
  5. Install two bolts attaching outer seat back to hinge.
  6. Install side shield.
  7. Install two bolts attaching seat back support arm.
  8. Connect release handle and cable assembly.
  9. Connect push tabs and release handle and bezel assembly.
  10. Install four screws and push pins attaching seat back panel.
  11. Install second row seat. (Refer to INSTALLATION  ).
  12. Install liftgate sill scuff plate. (Refer to L1FTGATE SILL SCUFF PLATE ).
