Front Seat: Removal

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Raise and support vehicle.
  3. For right side front seat, remove muffler to body heat shield. (Refer to HEAT SHIELDS ).
  4. For left side front seat, remove vapor canister. (Refer to VAPOR CANISTER ).
  5. Remove four nuts attaching seat to floor pan (Fig 1 ).
  6. Lower vehicle to access the seat.
  7. Remove headrest from seat. (Refer to REMOVALΒ  ).

  8. Raise seat to access wire connector under seat and disconnect wire connectors (Figure ).
  9. Remove seat from vehicle
