Front Seat: Removal
2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- For right side front seat, remove muffler to body heat shield. (Refer to HEAT SHIELDS ).
- For left side front seat, remove vapor canister. (Refer to VAPOR CANISTER ).
- Remove four nuts attaching seat to floor pan (Fig 1 ).
- Lower vehicle to access the seat.
- Remove headrest from seat. (Refer to REMOVAL ).
- Raise seat to access wire connector under seat and disconnect wire connectors (Figure ).
- Remove seat from vehicle
