Front Seat: Installation
2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Installation

- Place front seat into vehicle.
- Connect wire connectors under seat (Fig 1 ).
- Place front seat studs into mounting holes.
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Install four nuts attaching seat to floor pan (Figure ).
- Tighten nuts to 68 N.m (50 ft. lbs.) torque.
- For right side front seat, install muffler to body heat shield. (Refer to HEAT SHIELDS ).
- For left side front seat, install vapor canister. (Refer to VAPOR CANISTER ).
- Remove vehicle supports and lower vehicle.
- Install front seat headrest. (Refer to INSTALLATION ).
- Connect battery negative cable.
