Section 967 (Door System - Rear): Door: Removal
2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Removal

- Remove B-pillar upper and lower trim panel, as necessary. (Refer to B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM ) and (Refer to B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM ).
- Remove screws attaching door check strap to B-pillar (Fig 1).
- Disengage clips attaching door harness wire connector to inner B-pillar (Figure).
- Disconnect positive lock slide on the side of the wire connectors.
- Depress lock tab attaching wire connector halves together.
- Disconnect door harness from body wiring harness.
- Support door on suitable lifting device.
- Remove bolts attaching lower hinge to door end frame (Figure).
- Steady door on lifting device and remove bolts attaching upper hinge to door end frame.
- Remove door from vehicle.
