Check Strap: Removal

- Remove screws attaching door check strap to B-pillar (Fig 1).
- Remove check strap from B-pillar.
- Remove rear door trim panel. (Refer to REMOVAL ).
- Remove front door water shield. (Refer to REMOVAL ).
- Remove rear door speaker, if equipped.
- Remove nuts attaching check strap to door end frame (Fig 2).
- Remove check strap from door through speaker hole.
