Check Strap: Installation
2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Installation

- Position check strap on door through speaker hole (Figure).
- Install nuts attaching check strap to door end frame. Tighten nuts to 11 N.m (90 in. lbs.) torque.
- Install door speaker, if equipped.
- Install rear door watershield. (Refer to INSTALLATION ).
- Install front door trim panel. (Refer to INSTALLATION ).
- Place check strap into position on B-pillar.
- Install screws attaching check strap to B-pillar (Figure). Tighten screws to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.) torque.
