Cylinder Head Cover - Right: Installation

- Clean cylinder head and cover mating surfaces. Inspect and replace gasket and seals as necessary (Fig 1 ).
- To replace spark plug tube seals:
- Using a suitable pry tool, carefully remove tube seals.
- Position new seal with the part number on seal facing cylinder head cover.
- Install seals using Special Tool MD-998306 (Fig 2 ).
- Install cylinder head cover bolts and tighten to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.).
- Install the ground strap retaining bolt to the cylinder head cover.
- Install the wire harness track retaining nuts (Figure ).
- Install the ignition coils. Tighten mounting screws to 6.7 N.m (60 in. lbs.) (Figure ).
- Connect the ignition coil electrical connectors (Figure ).
- Install upper intake manifold (Refer to INSTALLATIONΒ ).
- Connect negative battery cable.
