Section 949 (Cruise Control Systems): Cable: Installation

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Installation

  1. Route cable.
  2. Slide speed control cable into bracket.
  3. Connect the vacuum line connection at rear of intake manifold.
  4. Install clip attaching cable to servo (Figure ).
  5. Install two nuts attaching mounting bracket and speed control cable to servo (Figure ). Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ  for torque specifications.
  6. Connect electrical connectors and vacuum hose.
  7. Install speed control cable to throttle cam by sliding clasp into hole (Figure ).
  8. Install the servo bracket bolt. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ  for torque specifications.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
