Roof Headlining ASSY: Replacement
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws labeled A, 2 claws labeled B and 4 claws labeled C.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove the 5 clips and scuff plate.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws labeled A, 2 claws labeled B and 4 claws labeled C.
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSY LH
- Remove the clip labeled A.
- Disengage the claw, and remove the clip labeled B and side trim.
- REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSY (SEE OVERHAUL )
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
- REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP RH
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH
- Remove the shoulder anchor bolt.
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the 2 clips and pillar garnish.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
- REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSY INNER LH
- Using a screwdriver, remove the clip labeled A, 3 clips labeled B and side garnish.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the clip labeled A, 3 clips labeled B and side garnish.
- REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSY INNER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
- REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH
- Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the clip and pillar garnish.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Pull the garnish upward and remove it from the instrument panel.
- W/ curtain shield airbag:
Protect the curtain shield airbag LH.
- Cover the airbag with cloth or a piece of nylon approximately 700 mm (27.56 in.) x 120 mm (4.72 in.) in size. Fix the ends of the cover with tape as shown in Fig 6
.NOTE: Cover the curtain shield airbag with the protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

- Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the clip and pillar garnish.
