Section 885 (Door Closer System): Inspection
- INSPECT FRONT DOOR CLOSER MOTOR
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 6 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 5, and check that the door lock link moves to SET position.
- Reverse the polarity and check that the door lock link moves to UNSET position.
If operation is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
- INSPECT REAR DOOR CLOSER MOTOR OPERATION
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 6 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 5, and check that the door lock link moves to SET position.
- Reverse the polarity and check that the door lock link moves to UNSET position.
If operation is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
- INSPECT DOOR LOCK SWITCH OPERATION (Half latch switch position)
Check that continuity exists between terminals 21 and 24 for latch position, as shown in the illustration below.
If operation is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
- INSPECT DOOR LOCK SWITCH OPERATION (Full latch switch position)
Check that continuity exists between terminals 21 and 15 for latch position, as shown in the illustration below.

If operation is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
- INSPECT DOOR LOCK SWITCH OPERATION (Pawl switch)
Check that continuity exists between terminals 21 and 23 for each position, as shown in the illustration below.

If operation is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.
- INSPECT DOOR LOCK SWITCH OPERATION (Cam position switch) CONNECTOR TERMINALS SPECIFIED CONDITION
