2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection Procedure

HINT:

In case of not using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start from step  3.

  1. Whether or not this DTC is cleared when the power window is lowered from fully close condition to half opened condition. 
    1. YES : it is suspected that the DTC was detected by ECU with any failure in the past. 
    2. NO : Go to next step. 
  2. Check jam protection limit switch using LEXUS hand-held tester. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to DLC 3.

    CHECK: 

    Check the jam protection limit switch using DATA LIST.

    1. OK : Replace passenger door ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    2. NG : Go to next step. 
  3. Check jam protection limit switch (See  INSPECTION  ). 
    1. NG : Replace power window motor. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  4. Check wire harness and connector between jam protection limit switch and passenger door ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Replace passenger door ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
