Steering Pad Switch Circuit: Inspection-Procedure

  1. Check steering pad switch using hand-held tester. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.

    CHECK: 

    Check the steering pad switch using DATA LIST.

    OK: 

    Meter multi-information display control switch 

    METER MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY CONTROL SWITCH SPECIFICATION

    Switch name (Tester display) No pressing Pressing
    DISP1 (MULTI FNC SW) OFF ON
    DISP2 (MULTI MODE SW) OFF ON
    Reset switch (MULTI RESET SW) OFF ON

    Horn switch 

    HORN SWITCH SPECIFICATION

    Switch name (Tester display) No pressing Pressing
    Horn switch (HORN SW) OFF ON

    Audio control switch 

    AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH SPECIFICATION

    Switch name (Tester display) No pressing Pressing
    Mode switch (AV MODE SW) OFF ON
    Select down switch (AV SEL DOWN SW) OFF ON
    Select up switch
    (AV SEL UP SW)
    OFF ON
    Volume down switch (AV VOL DOWN SW) OFF ON
    Volume up switch (AV VOL UP SW) OFF ON
    Volume set switch (AV VOL SET SW) OFF ON

    Cellular mobile telephone control switch 

    CELLULAR MOBILE TELEPHONE CONTROL SWITCH SPECIFICATION

    Switch name (Tester display) No pressing Pressing
    Voice hook switch (VOICE HOOK SW) OFF ON
    1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptom table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
    2. NG : Replace the steering pad switch (See  REMOVAL  ).
