2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection Procedure

  1. Diagnosis check for VSC system (See  SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  ). 
    1. NG : Follow diagnostic instructions for VSC system. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  2. Clear DTC and perform adaptive laser cruise control system road test on an ordinary, road. 
    NOTE: Be sure to check it on a straight road. As the steering neutral position can not be detected on a road with many curves, this DTC may be stored.
  3. Check DTC. 
    1. OK : System is normal. NG 
    2. NG : Check and replace ECM (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ).
