Inspection Procedure
HINT:
In case of using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and in case of not using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start from step 2.
- Check the slide power seat motor using LEXUS hand-held tester.
PREPARATION:
Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to the DLC3.
CHECK:
Check the slide power seat motor can be operated in ACTIVE TEST.
- OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptom table (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
- NG : Go to next step.
- Check slide power seat motor (See POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM
).
- NG : Replace motor.
- OK : Go to next step.
- Check slide position sensor (See INSPECTION
).
- NG : Replace power seat motor.
- OK : Go to next step.
- Check harness and connectors between rear LH seat ECU and slide motor and position sensors, sensors and body ground (See INSPECTION
).
- OK : Repair or replace harness or connectors.
- NG : Check and replace rear LH seat ECU (See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
