Section 783 (SFI): Injector: Removal

- REMOVE ENGINE COVER
Remove the 4 nuts and engine cover.
- REMOVE AIR INTAKE CHAMBER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE DELIVERY PIPE AND INJECTORS NOTE:
- Be careful not to drop the injectors when removing the delivery pipe.
- Pay attention to put any hung load on the injector to and from the side direction.
- Disconnect the 6 injector connectors.
- Disconnect the 6 camshaft position sensor connector.
- Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector.
- Disconnect the VSV connector for EVAP.
- Remove the 3 bolts and delivery pipe together with the 6 injectors.
- Pull out the 6 injectors from the delivery pipe.
- Remove the 2 O-rings, grommet and insulator from each injector.
- Remove the 3 spacers from the intake manifold.
