- DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE (See FUEL SYSTEM (3MZ-FE) )
- DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE NO. 3 (BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL)
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY (See REAR SEAT )
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (See FUEL SUCTION W/PUMP & GAUGE TUBE ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- REMOVE FUEL SUCTION W/PUMP & GAUGE TUBE ASSY (See FUEL SUCTION W/PUMP & GAUGE TUBE ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- DRAIN FUEL
- REMOVE FLOOR PANEL BRACE REAR (See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION AND DISASSEMBLY & REASSEMBLY )
- REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE ASSY CENTER (See FUEL TANK ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- DISCONNECT PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.2 (See FUEL TANK ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- DISCONNECT PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.3 (See FUEL TANK ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- REMOVE FUEL TANK PROTECTOR LOWER CENTER (See FUEL TANK ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- REMOVE FUEL TANK ASSY (See FUEL TANK ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSY
- Disconnect the VSV connector.
- Remove the 2 wire harness clamps.
- Disconnect the fuel hose No. 1.
- Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose.
- Deeply push the quick connector to release the lock pin.
- Pinch portion A.
- Pull out the fuel tank vent hose.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Unfasten the claw, then remove the charcoal canister.
- REMOVE FUEL EMISSION TUBE FUEL HOSE
- Remove the fuel emission tube fuel hose.
- INSTALL FUEL EMISSION TUBE FUEL HOSE
- INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSY
- Install the charcoal canister with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 40 N.m (400 kgf.cm, 29 ft.bl)
- Connect the fuel tank vent hose.
- Push in the quick connector to the pipe until the quick connector makes a "click" sound.NOTE:
- Check the connected part for damage or foreign objects.
- After connecting, check if the quick connector and pipe are securely connected by pulling on them.
- Push in the quick connector to the pipe until the quick connector makes a "click" sound.
- Connect the fuel hose No. 1.
- Install the 3 wire harness clamps.
- Connect the VSV connector.
- Install the charcoal canister with the 2 bolts.
- INSTALL FUEL TANK ASSY (See FUEL TANK ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- INSTALL FUEL TANK PROTECTOR LOWER CENTER (See FUEL TANK ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO. 3 (See FUEL TANK ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO. 2 (See FUEL TANK ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- INSTALL EXHAUST PIPE ASSY CENTER (See FUEL TANK ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- INSTALL FUEL SUCTION W/PUMP & GAUGE TUBE ASSY (See FUEL TANK ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- CONNECT ENGINE WIRE NO. 3 (BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL)
Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
- ADD FUEL
- CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- CHECK FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAKS
- INSTALL REAR FLOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (See FUEL SUCTION W/PUMP & GAUGE TUBE ASSY (3MZ-FE) )
- INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY . See REAR SEAT .
- INSTALL FLOOR PANEL BRACE REAR (See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION AND DISASSEMBLY & REASSEMBLY )
