- Disconnect the battery. Remove all necessary trim and console covers. See Fig 1. Disconnect shift interlock cable end from the lever pin of the floor shift assembly. See Fig 2.
- Using a screwdriver, disconnect the shift interlock cable from the floor shift assembly and clamp. See Fig 3. Turn ignition to ACC or ON position.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the cable from the upper bracket. See Fig 4.
- To install, ensure the ignition is in the ACC or ON position. Connect the cable to the cable bracket and install the clamp.
- Place the gearshift lever into Park and turn the ignition to the OFF position. To adjust, see SHIFT INTERLOCK CABLEΒ under ADJUSTMENTS.
- Insert the shift interlock cable through the floor shift bracket and snap into place. See Fig 3. Insert the lever pin into the hole of the shift interlock cable. Install all trim and console covers. See Fig 1.
