Inspection Procedure

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (STEERING SENSOR SUB BUS LINE)Β 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
    2. Disconnect the connector (S9) from the steering sensor.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 2 below.

      Standard:Β

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE STEERING SENSOR SUB BUS LINE OR CONNECTOR (CAN-H, CAN-L)Β 

    OK: Go to next step.Β 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG, ESS)Β 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in Fig 4 below.
