Initial Set Control Function Operates, But Headlamp Aiming Does Not Operate (Warning Lamp Goes Off): Wiring Diagram

  1. CHECK INITIALIZE 
    1. Start engine.
    2. Check that initial set control function of both headlamps operates.

      B: Go to step   3 

      A: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK HEAD LIGHT UNIT (HEADLAMP LEVELING MOTOR) 
    1. Inspect headlamp leveling motor resistance.
      1. Check that there is continuity between terminal 2 and 5.

      2. Check that there is resistance between terminals as shown in Fig 4 .

      OK: Go to step   4 

      NG: REPLACE HEAD LIGHT UNIT (LEVELING MOTOR) 

  3. CHECK HEADLAMP LEVELING ECU ASSY 
    1. Check signal waveform.
      1. RH:

        Using an oscilloscope, check signal waveform between terminal H14-16 (RH1), H14- 15 (RH2), H14-4 (RH3), H14-13 (RH4) and body ground.

      2. LH:

        Using an oscilloscope, check signal waveform between terminal H14-3 (LH1), H14-2 (LH2), H14-5 (LH3), H14-14 (LH4) and identifying body ground.
