HINT:

First, perform the LEV II SYS CHECK to determine the system's condition.

  1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
  2. Start the engine.
  3. Enter the following menus: DIAGNOSIS/ENHANCED OBD II/SYSTEM CHECK/LEV II SYS CHECK.
  1. PREPARATION FOR TEST (LEV II SYSTEM CHECK "STEP 1. INITIALIZE SYSTEM")Β 
    1. An example screen of step 1 of the LEV II SYS CHECK is shown on the left.
    2. Read the value of the FTP sensor (VAPOR PRESS).

      Standard:Β 

      Vapor Pressure should equalize with the atmosphere within 30 seconds.Β 

      Continue to the next stop when pressure is 760 to 764 mmHg-a (-2 to 2 mmHg-g).Β
