Inspection Procedure

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT DLC3 TERMINAL VOLTAGE 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Measure the voltage between terminal 13 (Tc) and 4 (CG) of DLC3.

      OK: 

      Voltage: 10 - 16 V

    1. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ) 
    2. NG: Go to Next Step 
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    1. Check for open and short circuit in the harness and the connector between ECM and DLC3 (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
    2. Check for open and short circuit in the harness and the connector between DLC3 and body ground (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
