2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT RADIO AND NAVIGATION ASSY (+B, ACC, GND) 
    1. Disconnect the radio and navigation assy connector R4.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      TERMINALS RESISTANCE

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      GND - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      TERMINALS VOLTAGE

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      +B - GND Always 10 to 14 V
      ACC - GND Ignition SW ACC 10 to 14 V
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE OR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART (see  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   or  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  )
