2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK MAP DISC 
    1. Check that the map disc is not deformed or cracked.

      Standard: No deformations or cracks appear on the map disc.

    1. NG: CHECK THE MAP DISC 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. CHECK RADIO AND NAVIGATION ASSY 
    1. Check that the "MAP" indicator near the disc slot comes on.

      Standard: It does not come on.

    1. NG: PRESS THE EJECT SWITCH TO EJECT THE DISC 
    2. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (see  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
