Inspection Procedure

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK CONTINUITY OF COMMUNICATION LINE 
    1. Check the wire harness among the skid control ECU and airbag ECU and combination meter.

      1. Disconnect the connectors of the skid control ECU, airbag ECU and combination meter.
      2. Check the continuity between terminal S7-3 (MPX2) of the skid control ECU vehicle's side connector and terminal A21-24 (MPX1) of the airbag ECU vehicle's side connector.

        Standard: Continuity 

      3. Check the continuity between terminal S6-17 (MPX1) of the skid control ECU vehicle's side connector and terminal C8-3 (MPX-) of the combination meter vehicle's side connector.

        Standard: Continuity 

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  2. CHECK SKID CONTROL ECU ASSY 
    1. Inspect the ECU power source input.
      1. Disconnect the ECU connectors S7 and S6.
