- DO ACTIVE TEST OF LEXUS HAND-HELD TESTER

- Make a judgement of good or bad and find out a malfunctioning part by the active test.

- Make the map light assembly switch in the door position and open the driver's door courtesy light come on.
- OK: CHECK AND REPLACE THEFT WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY
- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
- READ VALUE OF LEXUS HAND-HELD TESTER
- ECU DATA MONITOR
- Perform a data monitor of the data monitor.

- Check the continuity between terminal 1 and the body ground.

- NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Check the continuity between terminal 1 and the body ground.
- CHECK AND REPLACE WIRE HARNESS (DOOR ECU - COURTESY LAMP SWITCH)
- Disconnect the driver's door ECU and courtesy lamp switch connectors.
- Check the continuity between driver's door ECU vehicles side connector and courtesy lamp switch vehicles side connector. See TERMINALS OF ECU .
