2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection Procedure

  1. DO ACTIVE TEST OF OBD II SCAN TOOL OR LEXUS HAND-HELD TESTER 
    1. Check indicators and warning light operation.
      1. Connect the OBD II scan tool or LEXUS hand-held tester to DLC3.
      2. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the OBD II scan tool or LEXUS hand-held tester main switch ON.
      3. Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the OBD II scan tool or LEXUS hand-held tester.
      4. Check that light turn ON or OFF as the OBD II scan tool or LEXUS hand-held tester directs.

      OK: The indicator or warning light operate normally.

    2. OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOM TABLE
