- CHECK IF RADIO AUTO-SEARCH FUNCTIONS PROPERLY
- Check if the radio auto-search functions properly.
- Perform the auto-search of the radio and check that the operation is normal.
Standard: The operation returns to be normal.
- NG: Go to step 5
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Check if the radio auto-search functions properly.
- PRESS "EJECT" AND CHECK OPERATION
- Press "EJECT" and check the operation.
- Press the cassette tape EJECT switch of the radio receiver assembly for 2 sec. or more and check that the cassette tape us ejected.
Standard: The cassette tape is ejected.
- NG: CHECK AND REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSY
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Press "EJECT" and check the operation.
- CHECK CASSETTE TAPE
- Check the cassette tape.
- Check that the ejected cassette tape for peeled label, deformation or any other defects.
Standard: No defect in the cassette tape.
- NG: CASSETTE TAPE FAULTY
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Check the cassette tape.
- REPLACE CASSETTE TAPE WITH ANOTHER AND RECHECK
- Replace the cassette tape with another and recheck.
- Replace the faulty cassette tape with normal one to see if the same trouble occurs again.
Standard: The operation returns to be normal.
- OK: CASSETTE TAPE FAULTY
- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Replace the cassette tape with another and recheck.
- INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSY(+B,ACC,GND)
- Check that the continuity between terminals at each condition, as shown in the chart.
Standard:
RADIO RECEIVER ASSY TERMINALS CONTINUITYTester connection Condition Specified condition GND - Body ground Constant Continuity - Check that the voltage between terminals at each condition, as shown in the chart.
Standard:
RADIO RECEIVER ASSY TERMINALS SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester connection Condition Specified condition B - GND Constant 10 - 14 V ACC - GND Ignition switch ACC or ON 10 - 14 V - RADIO RECEIVER ASSY
- OK: CHECK AND REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSY
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- Check that the continuity between terminals at each condition, as shown in the chart.
