Section 572 (Interior Light System): Inspection
- w/o Sliding Roof: INSPECT FRONT PERSONAL LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
- Disconnect the connector from the personal light.
- Push the personal light switch ON, check that continuity exists between terminal 9 and body terminal 13.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.
- w/Sliding Roof: INSPECT FRONT PERSONAL LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
- Disconnect the connector from the personal light.
- Push the personal light switch ON, check that continuity exists between terminal 1 and terminal 3.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.
- INSPECT DOME LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
- Disconnect the connector from the personal light.
- Push the personal light switch ON, check that continuity exists between terminal 1 and terminal 3.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.
- Turn the light switch to DOOR, check that continuity exists between terminal 1 and 2.
If operation is as specified, replace the switch.
DOME LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY SPECIFICATIONSSwitch Position Tester Connection Specified Condition Dome Light Switch OFF 2 - 3 No Continuity Dome Light Switch ON 2 - 3 Continuity If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.
- INSPECT LUGGAGE ROOM LIGHT SWITCH
- Disconnect the connector from the interior light assembly.
- Turn the interior light switch ON, check that continuity exists terminal 2 and body ground.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.
- Turn the interior light switch to DOOR, check that continuity exists between terminals 1 and 2.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.
- INSPECT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CONTINUITY
- Check that continuity exists between terminals and the switch body with the switch ON (switch pin released: opened door).
- Check that no continuity exists between terminals and the switch body with the switch OFF (switch pin pushed in: closed door).
If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.
- INSPECT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT CONTINUITY
Check that continuity exists between terminals.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.
- INSPECT VANITY LIGHT CONTINUITY VANITY LIGHT CONTINUITY SPECIFICATIONS
Switch Position Tester Connection Specified Condition OFF (Closed) 1 - 2 No Continuity ON (Opened) 1 - 2 Continuity If continuity is not as specified, replace the bulb or vanity light.
- INSPECT BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CONTINUITY BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CONTINUITY SPECIFICATIONS
Switch Position Tester Connection Specified Condition OFF (Closed) 1 - 2 No Continuity ON (Opened) 1 - 2 Continuity If continuity is not as specified, replace the back door lock assembly.
