  1. Check if radio auto-search function properly. 

    PREPARATION:

    Check if the radio auto-search functions properly.

    CHECK:

    Perform the auto-search of the radio and check that it functions normally.

    OK:

    1. The radio auto-search functions properly. 
    1. OK : Replace radio and player. 
    2. NG : Go To Next Step. 

  2. Check optional component. 

    PREPARATION:

    Check optional component (Sun shade film, telephone antenna etc.).

    CHECK:

    Check whether or not any optional components, such as the sunshade film and the telephone antenna, are installed.

    OK:

    1. Optional component is installed. 
    1. OK : Effect from optional component. 
    2. NG : Go To Next Step. 

  3. Check antenna for noise production. 

    PREPARATION:

    Check noise with antenna.

    CHECK:

    • With the ignition switch in ACC, turn on the radio and choose the AM mode.
    • Place a flat-head screwdriver or a metal such as a thin wire on the antenna jack of the radio and the player. Check that the noise is heard from the speaker.

    OK:

    1. Noise occurs 
    1. OK : Replace radio and player. 
    2. NG : Go To Next Step. 

  4. Check radio and player. 

    PREPARATION:

    Remove the antenna plug of the radio and player.

    CHECK:

    1. With the radio and player connector connected, turn the ignition switch to ACC.
    2. Turn on the radio and choose the AM mode.
    3. Place a flat-head screwdriver or a metal such as a thin wire on the antenna jack of the radio and player. Check that the noise is heard from the speaker.

    OK:

    1. Noise occurs 
    1. OK : Replace radio and player. 
    2. NG : Replace antenna.
