On-Vehicle Inspection
- INSPECT INVERTERΒ NOTE: Wear insulating gloves.
HINT:
Check DTCs before performing the inspections of the converter and inverter, and perform the appropriate troubleshooting.
- Turn the power switch OFF.
- Remove the service plug grip (see SERVICE PLUG GRIP ).
- Remove the inverter cover (see W/CONVERTER INVERTER ASSY ).
- Disconnect the connectors A and B shown in the illustration.
- Turn the power switch ON (IG).
If turning the power switch ON (IG) with the service plug grip removed, the DTC of the inter lock switch system will be output.
- Using a voltmeter, measure the voltage. Also, using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- β’ Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- β’ The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- β’ You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
- β’ You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
