Room Temperature Sensor: Inspection

2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Inspection

  1. REMOVE LOWER FINISH PANEL  .
    1. Remove the 3 screws.
    2. Release the 3 claws and pull out the lower finish panel.
  2. REMOVE ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the connector and aspirator hose.
    2. Release the 2 claws and pull out the sensor.

  3. INSPECT ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE 

    Measure resistance between terminals at each temperature as shown in the chart.
